TODOS SANTOS WORKSHOPS

Todos Santos Workshops

Join me for a 5-day workshop in Todos Santos.  An hour away from Cabo San Lucas in Baja California, Mexico, Todos Santos is a vibrant small town full of restaurants, galleries, yoga studios and wonderful beaches, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Be inspired by the colors and scents around you to create paintings in an environment that will provide you with encouragement to explore your art and connect with yourself and others.

  • Delve into the language of abstract painting through improvisation and explore how to give structure to your paintings through studying composition and the arranging of shapes, forms and color. For beginners as well as more experienced students seeking to fine tune their skills.

  • Through the exploration of form, color, line, texture, pattern, composition, you will create a body of work that will continue to inspire you after the workshop. Broaden your artistic process through creative problem solving and give shape to new ideas.

Full immersion and experiential learning in small and intimate class sizes. Discover the joy of creating through discovery and exploration.

  • Workshops meet Monday – Friday, from 9-12 and 1-4, at Hablando Mexicano, Ignacio Zaragoza 19, Centro, 23300 Todos Santos, B.C.S., Mexico.

  • You will be provided with ample working space, individual time with me, and demos introducing new techniques. I will meet one on one with each student to discuss any artistic concerns.

  • You will work on multiple paintings simultaneously and leave with several paintings completed.

  • The cost of the workshop is $850, with a $450 deposit due at registration.

  • The balance of $400 is due sixty days prior to the workshop.

  • If you sign up by September 30 and pay the balance in full, the cost is $750.

  • For lunch we will explore local eateries or eat at the school, where a kitchen is available. For breakfast and dinner you will be on your own.

  • Cleanup is scheduled for Friday after lunch from 2 - 4pm.

  • One evening there will be an informal gathering of local Todos Santos artists.

  • A supply list will be sent to you after signing up for the workshop.

  • Some materials will be provided: cold wax medium, acrylic gel, newsprint, tissue paper, a variety of tools, paper towels and vegetable oil for cleaning tools.

  • Book flights early to take advantage of lower airline fares.

  • We recommend staying across the street at Gallo Azul Lofts. If you book before the end of the summer you will get a discount.
